GSGP Leads Aerospace Trade Mission to Mexico

In November, 2018 GSGP led a delegation of 8 Great Lakes companies from Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania to identify opportunities in Mexico's growing aerospace sector.  The mission was coordinated by the GSGP Mexico Trade Office and  FEMIA (the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry).  Over 110 b2b meetings were held in Mexico City, Quaretaro and Chihuahua. The group also visited Bombardier, Folkner, Mexicana MRO, Zodiac Aerospace and Honeywell Aerospace.

Matt Regan, President of Industrial Metals based in New York commented "Because of everyone’s efforts we were able to bid on new business that should result in the need for IML to hire additional people in the U.S. and new people in Mexico.

Your many contacts are really impressive as a small business like ours would never have had the chance to meet the right people at so many companies in such a short time.

Because, of  this Trade Mission IML now has  the opportunity to grow our business in this great country with companies like SAFRAN, Daher and Bombardier to name few.

With the results being new hires in both countries, it proves you have the right strategy on how to promote business cooperation around the world."
