100% Great Lakes Fish Initiative Receives United Nations Award

The 100% Great Lakes Fish Initiative has received the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) award for Sustainable Aquatic Food Systems. John Schmidt accepted the award earlier this week at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
 
This recognition places our work among global leaders advancing innovation and sustainability in fisheries and aquaculture. Thank you to all of our partners who helped make this award possible. We remain focused on our goal that every fish caught, raised, or processed in the Great Lakes region is used to its fullest potential.
